Appreciation Week

I have decided that this week is going to be all about appreciation.
If it's something that the past week of flooding has highlighted
(and the on-going flooding), is that we need to let other's know what they mean to us.
Family, friends, work colleagues... the list goes on.
You never know what each day will bring, so wear your heart on your sleeve and let them know how special they are! :)

One of the lovely ladies in bloggy land has been super about answering questions that I have regarding sewing, and in general being supportive of creative efforts. Here is a sneak peek at what I made for her...

And while I am yarning away... here is a sneak peek at an almost finished WIP
... it just needs some buttons.

I will post the details for it later this week.

What kinds of things do you appreciate?

  1. Your yarn looks so soft and pretty! Good post too, important to think about appreciating things. I appreciate my family and how openly they love me, but even just simple things like the fact that we are healthy, fed, and protected from the elements. Simple things that mean so much! Thanks for the reminder to reflect!

  2. Before dinner each night we ask the girls to tell us somthing in their day they are thankful for - and we do the same.
I am often amazed at how something I thought was very simple or a bit of a non-event will have imapacted on them.
Often our two year old will say "I thank-you - this dinner here" and that's good enough for me.

Miss you! I have some questions for you, plus just opened my etsy shop! Haven't seen you on e-mail lately? Everything ok?

Hello! Thanks for stopping by. I love comments. They seriously make my day. I read every one of them, and although I don't always get time to respond, know that I appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts. You are welcome to pop in any time :)
