String Basket

You may not believe this, but after finishing the piece from last week that I was working on, I decided I didn't like the way it stitched together along the seams, so I pulled it all undone and had a good think about it.
After having two days of an unsettled, uncomfortable baby, I finally got back to it and I love how it came together!

It started with a Red Heart Eco-Living pattern book that my SIL gave me last year. But after looking at the pattern I decided (as I often do) to do my own thing. And I believe I like it a whole lot better. I used the same string that I used for my String Jar-Vase and a size I hook.

This little project is designed to hold face washers and other goodies that you might want in your guest bathroom (or hey, why not your own even) and is on it's way to my Mum's for her birthday.

Take a moment and indulge your creative side - you might even fee better for it.

  7. That basket does look great! Sometimes it is worth pulling things apart and re-doing them rather than leaving them as they are if you are unhappy with them. Otherwise I find that they just annoy me and after putting in all that work - I don't use them.
